8H4M+HP 逗子市、神奈川県 Former Japanese Military Era: The Ikego area housed naval facilities and was used as an ammunition depot. A siding line branching off near JR Zushi Station (then JNR) was laid to the depot for transporting materials and ammunition. miurahantou.jp After U.S. Military Requisition: Following the war, the U.S. military continued to use it as an ammunition storage facility. This railway was also known as the "U.S. Military Ikego Line" and ran from Zushi Station to Ikego, with a total length of approximately 6.4 km, passing along the Keikyu Zushi Line and surrounding areas. Present Day: Part of the former ammunition depot site was returned and developed into Ikego no Mori Natural Park. Remnants of the railway tracks remain in the green space area. Meanwhile, the active portion of the line (from near Keikyu Jinmuji Station southward) serves as a dedicated line for J-TREC Yokohama Plant (formerly Tokyu Car), used for transporting newly manufactured railway vehicles (special freight trains).
