Alloy — Molten-Metal Landing Page Template
▶ Live interactive demo (no signup): https://alloy-timbzs-projects.vercel.appAlloy is a bold, single-page landing template built around a real molten-metal WebGL hero — a GPU fluid you pour with your cursor, with the wordmark cast from the negative space of the metal itself. Not a video loop, not a flat gradient: a live simulation.Built for creative studios, agencies, generative-art brands, and launch pages that want to be remembered.• Molten-metal GPGPU hero — a heat/fill field simulated on the GPU with a ping-pong FBO; pour it with your cursor and it flows, pools, and cools in real time.• The wordmark is cast, not drawn — carved from the metal via a baked signed-distance-field (SDF) text mask. Change one string to recast it to your own brand.• Scroll-driven casting stages — melt, skins over, racked, assayed, then fracture, where a crack reveals a photo beneath the metal.• Equirect forge reflections + a cursor-overheat interaction (hover a letter and it glows red-hot).• Swappable brand — palette, fonts, the cast word, and the reflection/reveal images all live behind CSS variables and clearly-marked constants.• React 19 + Vite + TypeScript + Tailwind v4 — deploys static to Vercel / Netlify / Cloudflare Pages, zero backend.• Code-split: the page text paints first while Three.js streams in.Includes the full commented source (React + GLSL), the forge and reveal textures, and a README with a customization map.Heads-up, honestly: this is a heavy, GPU-driven hero by design. Desktop and recent flagship phones are smooth; mid-range mobile is the trade-off (the sim resolution is adjustable in one constant). It's overkill for a plain marketing page — it's for when you want the 3D hero to be the whole first impression.
