It shows you the tone and level of specificity funders respond to. 2 Draft your narrative Open Grant_Boilerplate_Templates.docx and fill in the bracketed sections in order — LOI or full narrative, depending on what the funder requests. 3 Build your budget Fill in the blue cells in Grant_Budget_Template.xlsx. Match your budget narrative tab to the line items you used in your proposal.4 Run the checklist Before you submit, go through the Pre-Submission Checklist at the end of the boilerplate document.
