TSIA stands for the Texas Success Initiative Assessment. It is a standardized placement test used by Texas public colleges and universities.It is designed to determine if a student is ready for college-level coursework in the areas of: English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) Mathematics The current version of the test is called TSIA2. Students who do not meet the minimum score requirements may be placed into developmental courses to prepare them for success in college-level classes.
