Ravanan was the powerful king of Lanka in the Indian epic Ramayana. He was a great scholar and devotee of Lord Shiva, but his pride and desire led him to kidnap Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. This act caused a great war between Ravanan and Rama. In the end, Rama defeated and killed Ravanan, showing that arrogance and evil intentions ultimately lead to downfall.
