Visibly Lost: Personal Essays on Life in Japan (epub, PDF)

gumroad   $4.99   by davidrmunson

In 2015, I moved to Japan. Since then, I've been writing personal essays related to my experience here. In particular, I completed a writing challenge of two essays a week throughout 2021. Those essays make up the bulk of this book. It's largely philosophical in nature, rather than being informational or a book of travel writing. All of the essays in this publication are available to read for free on somewherein.jp. My motivation in putting them together in this publication was to put them together in a form easier to read offline, curate them so that it's only the better essays, and hopefully to reach new readers. If you'd prefer to purchase the book in the Amazon Kindle store, you can find it here. As with other publications, this is available for no extra charge for everyone who's backed my Japan travel book project. You can read about the project at davidwroteabook.com and can back the project here.Given the length of this document, I have not set it up for printing, as I have done with my previous zines. I'll be making a paperback version, so if you would like a paper copy, please get in touch and I'll let you know when that becomes available for purchase.I have not applied digital rights management to these files. That having been said, please refrain from distributing these files to others who have not purchased them. Instead, please refer them to the original essays on somewherein.jpIf you run into any trouble with your purchase or can't access the files, please email me directly at davidrmunson@gmail.com
