A production-ready post-processing HDA for Houdini's COP2 network, optimised for Octane renders. The AOV detection, denoiser aux buffer layout, and post-processing blend layer are built around Octane's default render element naming — drop it in, point it at your EXR, and get a fully graded, denoised, film-treated result in one node. Other renderers can work but may require manual AOV assignment.Takes a multi-layer EXR from your renderer and runs it through a complete grading and finishing stack:- AI Denoising — OptiX (NVIDIA RTX) or OIDN (Intel CPU). Automatically routes Normal, Albedo, Motion Vector, and Post Processing AOVs to the correct denoiser inputs via expression-driven switches — no manual wiring- Octane Post Comp — blends the Octane in-camera post-processing layer over the denoised result at a controllable blend amount- Zone Exposure — master, shadow, midtone, and highlight exposure offsets in stops, with adjustable zone pivots- Push Saturation — gamma-curve saturation boost in HSV space with highlight rolloff control- Subtractive Saturation — luma-masked selective desaturation for pulling specific tonal ranges toward pastels, with independent shadow, highlight, and neutral protection- Film Grain — three-layer grain system: luminance grain, chromatic grain, and halation. Each layer has independent size and roughness controls so you can dial in grain coarseness and spectral character per element. Each frame gets a completely new uncorrelated grain pattern — not animated noise, genuinely stochastic like real film. Toggle animation on/off- Halation — low-frequency Perlin bloom on dark areas with independent spread size control, separate from grain---## Designed for production- Never auto-unlocks — AOV routing uses COP switch nodes driven by ch() expressions. The HDA stays locked on every scene load with no Python touching the network- One-click AOV refresh — click Refresh AOV List when the EXR layer structure changes. The node reads the layer names, updates menus, and rewires itself- Sane defaults — grain on, denoiser on (OptiX), all grades at neutral, Octane post at full blend. Start rendering immediately- Cross-platform — Linux, macOS, Windows---## Requirements- Houdini 21 (COP2 network)- ACES CG OCIO config (ACES v1.3 / OCIO v2.3 recommended)- Octane for Houdini (for the post-processing blend layer — optional, can be disabled)- NVIDIA GPU for OptiX denoising (or use OIDN on CPU)---## What's included- cop_post_pipeline.hda — install to $HOUDINI_USER_PREF_DIR/otls/- Full documentation---## InstallationCopy cop_post_pipeline.hda to ~/houdini21.0/otls/ (Linux/macOS) or %USERPROFILE%\Documents\houdini21.0\otls\ (Windows). The node appears in any COP2 network on next Houdini launch.
