A single-node COP exporter that renders your compositing network to frames and encodes them to video — all from inside Houdini, without leaving the COP network. Built for ACES pipelines with proper OCIO colour baking at write time.Wire any COP node into the input, set your paths, hit render. The node writes frames to disk with the correct colour transform baked in, then hands them to ffmpeg for video encoding — no separate render ROP, no command line.- Three render modes — Render All (frames + encode), Render Frames only, or Render Video from already-rendered frames- OCIO colour baking — applies your ACES display transform at frame-write time (not at encode time). Supports any OCIO display/view/look combination. Works correctly with ACEScg scene-linear renders- ffmpeg video encoding — h264 (MP4), h265 (MP4), or VP9 (WebM). Full control over CRF quality, preset, tune profile, pixel format (8-bit or 10-bit), color range, and extra flags. h264/h265 output is automatically tagged with correct Rec.709 colorspace metadata so the video matches your frames in every player- Progress dialog — live frame counter in Houdini's native interrupt dialog. Cancellable mid-encode- Smart file layout — frames go to <comp_path>/<node_name>/, video to <output_path>/<node_name>/. Name everything from a single Export Name field- Keep or clean frames — optionally deletes the frame sequence after a successful encode---## Format support| Format | Video encode | Notes ||---|---|---|| PNG 8-bit | ✓ | Widest compatibility, smallest files || PNG 16-bit | ✓ | Preserves precision for further grading || EXR | ✗ | Frames only — ffmpeg has no OCIO support |---## ffmpegSupports Houdini's bundled ffmpeg, any ffmpeg on the system PATH, or a custom binary path. On Windows, ffmpeg.exe is picked up automatically via PATH.---## Requirements- Houdini 21 (COP2 network)- ffmpeg (included with Houdini, or install separately for latest codec support)- ACES CG OCIO config for correct colour baking---## What's included- cop_exporter.hda — install to $HOUDINI_USER_PREF_DIR/otls/- Full documentation---## InstallationCopy cop_exporter.hda to ~/houdini21.0/otls/ (Linux/macOS) or %USERPROFILE%/Documents/houdini21.0/otls/ (Windows). The node appears in any COP2 network on next Houdini launch.
