What LifeOS is:The vault I use to run my business, my money, and my week. Set it up in one sitting, not one weekend. Most "second brain" templates hand you empty folders and a prayer. You spend a weekend organizing, then never open it again.LifeOS isn't a template. It's the system I use every day: daily notes that route themselves, a STATE file on every project so you always know what's true right now, and Claude Code wired in to read the whole vault and answer questions about your own life the way a good chief of staff would.I built it for me first. My business, my finances, my goals all run through it. This is that vault with the personal stuff stripped out, plus a guided setup that gets you from zero to running in about an hour. What you get: The full LifeOS vault (Obsidian) A click-through onboarding guide, not a PDF you'll skim once. 17 sections, including a troubleshooting tab built from real first-timers getting stuck Pre-wired daily notes, projects, and goal tracking Claude Code setup, so the AI can read your vault Before you buy: A Claude account (Pro at ~$20/mo is plenty). This powers the AI layer Obsidian (free). This is Obsidian-specific An uninterrupted hour for first setup No 1:1 support at this tier. The troubleshooting section covers where real first-time users got stuck, including a Windows gotcha we caught and fixed. If you'd rather have someone on the call with you, that's the 1:1 Setup Hour.FAQDo I need to be technical? No, but you do need to be willing to paste a few commands into a terminal window. The guide gives you the exact text for every one, includes a simulator so you can see what a command should do before you run it, and covers Mac and Windows separately. People who had never opened a terminal have finished this.Does this work on Windows?Yes. Windows runs through WSL (Ubuntu). The guide carries a Windows track the whole way, including the one place people reliably go wrong: typing into PowerShell when the guide means the Ubuntu window. What does it cost to run after I buy it?Claude Pro, about $20 a month. That's the only ongoing cost. Obsidian itself is free. Obsidian Sync is a paid add-on, worth it if you want the vault on your phone, but setup doesn't need it.Who can see my notes?Your vault is plain text files on your own computer. Claude Code reads them off your disk when you run it. Setup also walks you through turning off the setting that lets Anthropic train on your chats.I already use Obsidian. Will this overwrite my vault? No. LifeOS installs as its own vault in its own folder. Your existing one is untouched, and running both while you move things over is a reasonable way to start. How long does setup take, and what happens if I get stuck?About an hour if nothing surprises you. The guide has a troubleshooting section built from 11 real first-time failures, each written as the symptom you'll actually see, why it happens, and the fix. After setup, Claude is your support channel: hand it the whole guide and ask.Do I get updates?Yes. Gumroad emails you when I push a new version, at no extra cost.RefundsFourteen days. If you can't get it running, email hello@alpacaadvisor.ai and tell me where it broke. Most stalls are a five-minute answer and I'd rather fix it than keep your money. If it still isn't working for you after that, I refund you in full and you keep the files.
