Most "blob tracking" tools in the TD ecosystem are secretly body trackers wearing a blob-shaped hat — they fall apart the moment there's no person in frame. Blob Tracking is built for the opposite job: watching a scene — a room, a street, a tabletop, a tank, a crowd — and picking out every moving or distinct object in it, with real computer-vision detection under the hood, not a luminance-centroid guess.What it does: Real detection, not a heuristic. Background subtraction (MOG2), brightness threshold, or HSV color-key modes feed actual connected-component analysis — genuine per-blob bounding boxes, area, and centroids. Real tracking. A persistent multi-object tracker assigns each blob a stable ID and holds onto it through brief occlusion or dropout, with tunable match distance, track-loss age, and a noise debounce so single-frame flickers never get an ID. 6 marker styles — Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Corner Brackets, Circle, Filled, Dashed — with independent Box Color and Line (trail) Color.
